The walk
6.8 km out-and-back walk between Comune di Sgonico and Comune di Monrupino, up to Bivio sentiero n. 5 (zona Peč), 242 m of total ascent: about 2 h 15 min of walking. Easy paths and dirt roads. Along the way: Riserva naturale del Monte Lanaro. After the walk: wine tasting at Bajta Salež (4.5 km) and lunch at Antica Trattoria Suban in Trieste (7.9 km).
Easy path (grade T): wide tracks and short climbs, trainers are fine in dry weather.
