The walk
5.5 km out-and-back walk between Cassine and Gamalero, up to San Rocco di Gamalero, almost flat (+110 m): about 1 h 30 min of walking. Waymarked hiking trail. After the walk: wine tasting at Rinaldi Vini (6.8 km) and lunch at Locanda dell’Olmo in Bosco Marengo (12.7 km).
Waymarked hiking trail (grade E): paths and dirt roads, good walking shoes are enough.

From Alba: about 1 h (40 km as the crow flies). Most trailheads have roadside parking or a small car park in the nearest village.
By train and bus
